Stepping Stones Series II, 2024

Kathleen Deep's artwork is inspired by her immersive experiences in wetlands, flooded fields, and marshes. Using mixed media, raw dried material, and unconventional materials, she creates works from memory that evoke the essence of the places she wanders and wades in. With a background in historical image-making processes, Kathleen's work is influenced by analog aesthetics and processes, resulting in pieces that are both nostalgic and contemporary.
